2021

This is the 11th year of the wildly successful Dancing with the Stars of the ‘Burg!

 

As in each of our previous 10 seasons, seven local “stars” have been selected from throughout our community and partnered with ballroom dancing enthusiasts from the Shenandoah Chapter of USA Dance.  Each team is soliciting dollar votes to support the Harrisonburg Rockingham Child Day Care Center throughout the fall while also developing a dance performance.  Each team is competing for the Grand Championship Mirror Ball Trophy that recognizes the best combined scores in both fundraising and dancing.

 

$1 = one vote. Support your favorite team as they dance for the Daycare! Help this year’s group of seven stars shine!

 

Support your favorite(s) by voting for their teams and by attending the show in person* on November 14, 2021, at the JMU Grand Ballroom, Festival Conference and Student Center. Festivities start at 6 p.m. with dancing, heavy hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar. The show starts at 7 p.m. with a dance party to follow. Dancing With the Stars of the ‘Burg has sold out every year, so make your reservations early!

*COVID policy: Dancing With The Stars of the ‘Burg will adhere to CDC and Commonwealth of Virginia COVID-19 guidelines during 2021. In adherence to current guidelines, masks are required by those who are not fully vaccinated at DWTS-OTB events.

 

If COVID guidelines or significant illness by participant(s) should change our ability to hold the show on schedule, the competition will be placed on pause and rescheduled. In such case, all individual seat and table reservation fees will be refunded in full (minus any online transaction fees).  Donations to DWTS-OTB teams will not be refunded and will be counted in the teams’ fundraising totals once the event is held.
